Before you are able to register for the 7 Day Challenge you will need to calculate what your ‘Poverty Line’ budget will be.

The categories for the 7 Day Challenge are food & groceries, clothing and leisure. It's important when calculating your budget to include all of the following items in your budget:

  • Food & Groceries - this includes personal items such as deodorant, shampoo, razors etc as well as household items like cleaning products.
  • Clothing - some people don't spend weekly on clothes so if that's you just fill in $0. For anyone else this includes shoes, work clothes, school uniforms etc.
  • Leisure - this includes money spent on dvd's, going to the movies, music & dance lessons, eating out and anything else you do as a hobby or to relax.

The budget calculator below will automatically compare your current budget to the budget of a CAP Client prior to seeking CAP’s help. Please remember that in some circumstances these budgets may be considered luxurious to many of our CAP Clients prior to seeking our help.
